NIne AISWA teachers recently took part in the AFMLTA's national training program, Ready? Set? Go!, to prepare to become AISWA Australian Curriculum Workshop Leaders in October 2015.
The AFMLTA training held on 14 March gave a comprehensive overview of the new Australian Curriculum: Languages and developed understanding of the key ideas & approaches, design & structure and use of the new curriculum for planning, teaching, assessment & reporting. The nine Workshop Leaders will now work to each co-present with the Languages Consultant, a whole day language specific workshop during October 2015.
The team and the languages they represent include (front row, l-r) Stella Mitchell (French), Li Lui (Chinese), Sally Parr (Spanish), Alessandra Tomassi (Italian), Tavish Redgrave (Indonesian), Muhammad Agherdien, (top row, l-r) Natalie Pearce (Japanese), Kate Reitzenstein (Languages Consultant), Caroline Loos (German) and Magda Hasapopoulos (Modern Greek).
